Time and Band-Aids

I wonder if time really heals all wounds... if every time the clock ticks a bit of your pain wipes away... if your heart puts itself back together on its own time.
Or, is time more of a cover for of the hurtful things that have happened in the past?  Acting as a band-aid for an open wound.  Not really healing it, but more so just keeping it from the germs and bacteria that could take it back to its original infected state.
I, personaly, see time as the band-aid.  It could either be very strong, protecting your wound... Or, it could be a flimsy band-aid, leaving you vulnerable to bacteria and funk.
Time can also be a very ugly thing, gnawing away at your mind.  Constantly reminding of all the ugly things that have happened in the past.  Refreshing your memory everday, making every thing in your days remind you of your past. Or him, the one person that never vacates your mind of himself.  And there you are... left unprotected and band-aid less.
So, that leaves me with the question.  Does time really heal all wounds?

idk about time healing wounds but i like this blog....i would have never put time and band-aids together. :-) very clever. oh and you absolutley right about the peer pressure being your fault BUT, it was still a mistake and if no one made mistakes in life, well that would just be very awkward.

Time heals nothing. All of our wounds just compound and make us stronger, enabling us to cover and almost ignore them all together. Knock off all that strength and build up of who knows what else and what are you left with? All the pain. We are merely onions.
