Day 5 after missing day 4
Though we live in a small town we have a big Christmas Parade.  We live near both Orlando and Tampa and we have floats from Disney and USF (University of South Florida), made it to #2 this year.  We also have local schools and businesses and even a Budwiser race boat!  What I learned today as I sat at the parade is that there are a lot of people who like parades.  I was there as one of my boys was in the parade with his school's drum line.  Unfortunately for me as his float went by so did many people crossing the street since the parade loops around so they were finished with the parade so wanted to go home, just as we were watching the parade.  Not so nice for us but whatever.  So many different faces and body shapes and speech patterns.  What a wonderful world we live in, I only wonder if live in harmony as much as we live in diversity.  So as I watched the parade I wondered how many people are into the real meaning of Chrismas the Jesus part?  Don't get me wrong, I appreciate Santa and all the gifts I have received over the years.  So as I sat wondering about Jesus in our hometown parade a float comes by from a local Baptist church and the pastor kept saying remember Jesus is the reason for the season.  To tell you the truth though this is my belief, and my belief is strong, I felt very uncomfortable about this preaching, I wonder why?  Good for the pastor and his ability to evangelize. Maybe I learned timing is everything.
