Burlingon is fanastic.  Its only a 75 minute plane ride, as close as the shore.  "Downtown" is about four blocks by six blocks, bordered on one side by a waterfront and the lake to the State of New York.  (Is it Champlain?  Not sure.)

In the middle of downown is Church St, a brick road closed of to traffic with shops on both sides and restaurants seating people in the middle of the street.  On a wednesday night in the summer, there were three live local jazz/blues bands playing.  I had dinner outside at an "Irish Tavern" on church street, a bowl of steamed mussels in garlic and butter with a white wine and pasta with beef tips with a guiness.  Mussels were fantastic, pasta was okay.

The dock area is fantastic, boats to rent and all sorts of stuff to do.  I became enamored with a girl who was perched on a rock sketching the sunset, and took a number of clandestine pictures before I satisfactorily captured the moment's romance.

Court the next day was not fun, the judge bullied everyone around, testified on our behalfs then made us agree with him, and denied both my claimants.  Appeals are pending.

Brief delay getting out of town but my flight landed in plenty of time to get to Citizens Bank Park for the Police concert.
