Got inked? WHY!???

I get both positive and negative feedback because I got a few tattoos on my back.

People don't really know what's the meaning behind it. Usually, when they ask me what's tattooed there, I just say it's a favorite song, my husband's name and a fairy. It's not as simple as that.

I decided I will get a tattoo when I grow up maybe it was way back in 4th grade... It's because of a very important person in my life who I don't really want talk about right now. If we are friends, really close friends... I'll just tell you the story in private. I don't really want to write it down here.

Anyway, the song on my back is by Billy Joel "For the Longest Time". It's one of the lines of the song... "I have been a fool for lesser things". I didn't get that tattooed just because it's one of my favorite songs but because of the very meaning of that line. For me, it's like a response for not so nice things told to me. Like:
"Oh my gosh! Why did you get inked? Sooo dirty."
"Why did you leave your parents? You had the best life there."
"Why did you resign from that job? People try so hard to get in there and they can't then you just left!"
"Why did you 'marry' early?"
"Why did you get pregnant right away? You had a long long way ahead of you!"
For all those lines, I can only say: "I have been a fool for lesser things."
It's not that I admit my actions are foolish, yes, some of them were too foolish. But I had my own reasons for some of them, some of them just happened for its own reason. It was my destiny. It was meant to be.

I got loads of negative reactions when I had my husband's name tattooed on my back. People say "how sweet" most of the time but you will see it in their faces that they're thinking "how crazy". People say, you can never tell if you will ever separate with someone so it's better not to have something permanent like a tattoo be done on you if one day you might just be with someone else.
My husband has my name inked on his chest, on his heart area. Both of us made that decision, now we're as good as married. I don't care if a separation could be possible, but it will never be an option for us. Having our names tattooed permanently on each other forces us to work it out all time. So it is a good thing for the both of us. Totally NOT crazy. Right?

The fairy... I got that because I am a Britney Spears fan and she's got one small fairy on her back too... NOT! hahaha, joke!
I am a Britney Spears fan but I didn't know she had a fairy on her back until I already had mine for months. I was so excited when I found out about that, I almost cried! It's like I felt a connection with Britney... hehehe...
Seriously, when I was a kid, a really young kid, I almost couldn't remember it anymore, my mom and my sisters would always get mad at me when I say I see fairies. They say those are my imaginary friends. It may sound crazy now but I don't think I was lying back then. I can't remember what happened clearly but the only thing I recall is when I cried hard one time because my mom & my sisters won't believe me, and my mom got even more angry, they just disappeared. Their memories also just disappeared. But I still believe that they're still with me. Maybe when I was a kid, I thought they were fairies. Now, I just think of them as angels. My guardian angels.

I still plan on getting more tattoos. I am very lucky because my husband is a tattoo artist. So I can have one anytime, for free!!! Bad thing, he doesn't want to fill me up. Which is fine. It's up to him. Whatever's beautiful for him is fine for me.
