ADVENTURE LAND
I sit on a bench
with the sun on my face
people pass
pointing at different things
and talking.
I hear women scream
I hear chains that pull people to heights
that they will soon fall from.
I look down
and see the chewing gum on my shoe
that I put there - three days ago.
Maybe they are right about me
the only trouble is,
you can only believe people,
when,
they have nothing
to gain.
