Below is a fabulous post someone put up earlier and I was too much of a dipsh*t to remember her name! But I thought it was worth repeating and even worth sharing the answers to the second series of questions:
An Interesting Philosophy
I saw this philosophy a while back. With a new year, it’s good to refer to it. Just read the questions straight through. Don’t worry about answering them.
1. Name the five wealthiest people in the world.
2. Name the last five Heisman trophy winners.
3. Name the last five winners of the Miss America contest.
4. Name ten people who have won the Nobel or Pulitzer prize.
5. Name the last half dozen Academy Award winners for best actor and actress.
6. Name the last decade's worth of World Series winners.
How did you do? Not so good? The point is, none of us remember the headliners of yesterday. Now, go through these:
1. List a few teachers who aided your journey through life.
2. Name three friends who have helped you through a difficult time.
3. Name five people who have taught you something worthwhile.
4. Think of a few people who have made you feel appreciated.
5. Think of five people you enjoy spending time with.
6. Name half a dozen heroes whose stories have inspired you.
The lesson: The people who make a difference in our lives are not the ones with the most credentials, the most money, or the most awards. So stop worrying about who has what, impressing people, or “Keeping up with the Joneses”. All that is irrelevant. The people who matter are the ones who actually care.
Just Being Me.
Just My Thoughts.
Just Londa.
Ok, so here are my answers to the really pertinent questions:
1. List a few teachers who aided my journey through life - Ms. Shirley Turner, Mr. Sirois, Mr. Gibbons, Mr. Stefan, Joe Steiff,
2. Name three friends who have helped me through a difficult time - Mac, Denise, Lisa
3. Name five people who have taught me something worthwhile - my mom, my granny, my grandpa, my stepdad, my uncle...outside of my family: Sally, Mac, Lisa, Nichole, Sai Ling
4. Think of a few people who made me feel appreciated - Brett, Denise, Mac
5. Think of five people I enjoy spending time with - Lisa, my family (let's count that as one unit), Judy, Alen, and my kitties...yes, I'm counting my boys because I LOVE spending time with them. ;)
6. Name half a dozen heroes whose stories have inspired me - Che Guevara, David Icke, Gandhi, David Lynch, Bruce Lee, Trent Reznor
Kind of nice to sit and have to focus on something positive for a change.
Give it a try. I was surprised by some of my own asnwers.
