| Dr Who and board games |
I dont profess to being an expert infact im a bit of a novice when it comes to all the Dr Who series whether its the new one with the 10th Dr or the 1st black n white. You see my newly found boyfriend introduced me to the wounderful world of Dr Who and i must admit i love it.
To be honnest i started watching it purely becouse i bought him the scene it dr who addition game for christmas and alas he had no one 2 play with. so i figured id be a good girlfriend and watch the new series from the start (the 1 with Billy Piper in it) so i could be at least a little bit of a challenge. Who would have guessed from the first catchy theme song to the end credits i would be engulfed by it. I was dreading watching it and the knowledge the new series had 4series made my stomach ache in ways i never new it could. so you see i was more than suprised when i found myself asking eagurely for Andy to put the next series on. infact it was rather a childish whine that im rather going red at thing back at. So it goes to show even though your dreading something try it. somethings are worth the effort and you never know you might actualy find you love it.
Going on to playing the actual game well i won the 1st time round, much 2 his and my suprise. of corse i had to rub it in ,only playfully that he was beat by some1 whos only just started watching it a mth ago, compared to andy whos watched it from being a kid and hes 30yrs old this year. The pouting look he gave me was totaly worth the dig. lol. bless him he did see the funny side. Weve played it since and hes beating me so reclaiming some pride and self respect.
We also played disney trivial pursuit and being a some what expert in at least the animation side of things i won yet again. can you start seeing a pattern? lol. It was so fun and i had forgotten what it was like to play board games and there bludy addictive even when you lose. well expecialy when you lose cos you hav2 try again so as to win, dont you think?
Well the introduction to Dr Who has enspired me to try other series i used to refuse to watch like star treck and even the star wars films.
Watch this space i maybe writting more on how much i love si-fi you never know!!
And if you ever fancied watching Dr Who i say do so you maybe plesantly suprised.
