 I'm sorry but...
Ok, this is going to be harsh but I just have to say it.  If you live in the coastal region of Texas and you didn't heed the order to evacuate because a hurricane was coming your way...don't look into the camera and say "Help us, please."  First of all you had plenty of time to get your sorry self inland, but you decided to stay, defiantly thumbing your nose at those who know what they're talking about AND at Mother Nature.  Well, guess what, Mother Nature just about wiped you off the face of the Earth.  Now countless others have to risk their lives searching for you and pulling your sorry ass out of the proverbial fire...of your own making.  And now you have the audacity to beg for someone to rescue you, give you food and water and take you someplace where you would be safe and dry?  Come on! Get a brain!  You live in a hurricane prone area of the country...be prepared for one and get the hell out when you're told.

This can also apply to those who live in flood-plains, earthquake and mudslide prone regions.  If you choose to live there...be prepared to leave and then deal with it.  If you can't...move the hell out and go someplace where you wont have to deal with it...and we wont have to sit there and watch you on t.v. begging for someone to help you.
