How
Warped?
From
the end of third grade through 7th grade I grew up in a
small east Texas town with lots of poor people trying to get ahead.
Often people would buy an acre or so of land, move a house trailer on
it and live in that while they built a house. There was a saying I
heard a number of times there that I haven't heard since or elsewhere
that contained some sad truth: “He'll lie when the truth fits
better”.
That
describes a person with something severely amiss in their being.
But, “something amiss in their being” describes all of us. We
all have it. Mainstream Christianity calls it “original sin”.
Its not something we've done and are going to be punished for, it is
something wrong with us that leads us to do things we'll suffer for.
