For
Real
In
English we sometimes say something then add a phrase or word to
emphasize that it is really true.
An
example from the Bible is:
Matthew
10:42
And whosoever shall give to drink unto one of
these little ones a cup of cold water only in the name of a disciple,
verily I say unto you, he shall in no wise lose his reward.
In
the south it is sometimes said of a for sure dead person “He's
graveyard dead”.
Jesus
is “The way, the truth, and the life”. That word “truth” in
Hebrew means steadfast, dependable, unchanging, while in Greek it
means to be an accurate picture of reality (here of God)..
So
we should think, believe, and speak of the truth and we should be
real, be true (faithful). As we put on the mind of Christ, as we are
restored to the image of God (in which humankind was originally made)
we become 'true' and “For Real”.
