This weekend I didn't have to work, so I got to spend it with my kids. Saturday morning we got up and called my mom to go shopping with us. We are redoing our living room, so we wanted to get some wallpaper at Menards. Mom met us about 10:30 and we drove to Missouri Valley for lunch at Penny's Diner. Penny's is an old-fashioned diner, that plays oldies and serves the best malts. After lunch we went to Council Bluffs. First we stopped at Wal-Mart to see if Kara could get her pass port picture taken, they said the camera was not working right. That really made Kara upset because she has to have that done before February 15th. So then, we went on to Menards and got the wallpaper I needed to start my project. We got home around 4:00 and Sara and the baby were here so we got to play with Dusti for a little bit. Marty stayed all night with a friend of his, so Kara, Emma, and I decided to go to the movies. P.S. I Love You was playing in Onawa, so we went there. It was a great movie. Sunday morning, Kara had to help the Mondamin Fire Department with a pancake feed. Emma and I kinda bummed around til about 10:00 and then we decided to dig into the wallpaper project. We are wallpapering over the paneling in our living room with a thicker wallpaper that you can paint over after it dries. It looks pretty cool so far, it is white right now. We are trying to decide if we want a beige color or a soft green with a green and a deep red border. After we did two walls, it was getting late, so we made some supper. Then Emma wanted to make her fleece blanket, so we did that and then it was time for the big game. I can't believe the Giants pulled it off, but I guess thats okay. Its late so I'm going to bed now.
