 How did this happen?

How did this happen?  When did I become 40, fat and not very fabulous?  Okay, 42.

Truly, I have embraced my 40's with a new boost of power.  The power that says, you have been there and done that.  Strange I know, but nevertheless, a good feeling.  I actually feel like a grown up for a change.  Now if I start thinking, oh, you are almost to the half-way mark I get a little depressed.  What about all those things that I said I would do before I die...

My weight..that's what happened to them them.  I have been overweight since my 15 year-old was born.  15 years, wow. I have been carrying an average teenager 15 years on my back and it is time that she find a new home.  I have finally taken control.  I am losing and exercising and enjoying it...WHO SAID THAT?

Now to the fabulous part...I AM fabulous.  I am a good person, love people and for the most part, make good choices.  My kids are polite, smart young men and my home is nice and comfy.  I have the love of a wonderful man and laughter is one of my favorite things.

I take it back...42, PHAT and FABULOUS!!!!
