I wish someone would say they cared, and you could fully believe them, and it would be okay to give them your heart. and maybe things would get better. and maybe it would be okay. And you could forgive and forget without all the added extra hurt. And when you listened to those songs, you wouldn't feel melancholy, or shed tears, but you could find new meaning with them. And your heart would no longer drop at the sound of a name, but the name would be dropped and lost. you can't erase people. you can't erase facts. you can't erase laws. you can't erase love.
