| That is so true, I believe in god but more so not the church. Like I dont think there is anything wrong with being Gay it's love and thats fine, but the church does not. and yes you are very right. It's nice to see someone else that thinks that too |

Ally;
thanks for the sweet words on my latest blog! I just finished reading the above and I AGREE! So many times people think they can place us in a box and give us a label, well we are starting to break out of the box and make *religion* what it should have been from the very start- a PERSONAL and individual AFFAIR!
Cheers!!
Kathleen ( also from Ontario;) |

| The Bible is true and hell is a real place. please don't go there, Let Jesus the saviour save you and show you how real He is and how much he loves you. It is good to have good moral's as long as you are not trying to justify yourself to God, We are justified by faith in the finnished work of Jesus. |

Hey ally
Well thanks for the comment you left for me.
I think people hide behind religion sometimes and I'm glad that your putting your true thoughts out there.
I don't judge anyone b/c there is only one judge at the end. Just keep FAITH. Take care. |

Curious why you started with this topic...
And, how nice you were able to start in high school. When I was in high school, my classmates and my teachers/priests made me very angry. It was a catholic school...but few if any actually acted catholic or gave a crap about mass. Masses were handled so casually and openly. To some extent, I thought this would ease people's minds and be more open to other faiths. Not so. And, looking at those around me...it was as if they came because they had to and treated it no differently than a school assembly. They further showed their true colors when graduation time came and few if any wanted to sit around and talk/eat at the reception. Instead, they ran out like freed kennel dogs and went to their own parties like it was the Academy Awards. I was so upset.
I share some similar feelings with you. I try to be a good person without following every little rule. But, at the same time, if you claim to know all that is right or wrong...are we not putting our own personal feelings above others? Where is the justice or standard? If we all go by our own standards in all that we do, that is chaos. Anarchy. So, as much as I dont want to be dominated by others' rules...I might be deaf/blind with self-empowerment not to listen to others and only cause more conflict because everyone wants their way. I am not sure which is right. But, I DO try to trust my gut which I believe speaks to a higher power. But, I am still human and capable of error. Have to be able to see the error of our own ways. |
