With a cold shiver down my spine
I told myself I would be fine
Soon the pain would go away
Not much reason for me to stay
Perhaps maybe a friend
But in time there heart will mend
Still nothing wills me to stay
It’s sad, so soon I see this day
But I wish no tears be shed for me
Only that in time they’ll see
I left them here but not alone
My memory lingers on its own
And still to those I’ve left behind
