I have this old scrap of paper, it's a birth certificate, mine ~ Somebody named me Tulia Anne York but that's just a name, I'm not Tulia.. I am this soul, it's this soul that makes me who I am and souls are eternal, as are you.
As soon as I was born my life could have gone in any direction as I was a baby in the care of the state... up for adoption, Once a family was found, fate led me through a set of sliding doors... On your side of the doors I have yet another name, but I live on this side with you.

Here, our souls united 20 years ago.. Yes, young love but it was so strong, so powerful. We knew no fear and surrendered our hearts completely. We have grown up together, broken down together, laughed, cried and dreamed together... through good times and hard times it's always been our devotion and love for each other that has kept us going to this day. Some days are better than others but we have a beautiful life because we made it happen. I cherish your love and I am forever grateful you are in my life. You are my soulmate and I will love you beyond my last breath.

Out there, We met later in life with guarded hearts. Both of us have been hurt and cast pain upon others. Both of us believe in eternal love but have scars, bruises and old wounds buried deep within causing us to doubt or question others and especially ourselves, we keep our hearts protected.. never fully giving it to another, just in case.
How we long for a pure, untainted heart once again!
Somehow, out there we still recognised each others beautiful soul, we've both imagined more but with so much uncertainty in life, love and ourselves, we have so far chosen not to trust it. We have the strength to love but not the courage to surrender to it. We walk with each other in our hearts and sometimes we slide from one side to the other in our heads. Will we build a perfectly loopy life together someday or will we remain quirky adored friends?
If we only share this life, so be it. I cherish your love and I am forever grateful you are in my life. You are my soulmate.. my soul's mate, and I will love you beyond my last breath.
