I am not looking forward to tonight, my first new years without my husband at my side. I really didnt think that it would affect me in the way that it has. Over the last couple of days I have felt strong and positive, yet today all my resolve seems to have gone. Why? today is just another day the date shouldnt affect the way I feel surely. what the difference does it make that tomorrow is the start of a new year Im still going to be in the same shitty situation as I have been.
For the girls I will make an effort to smile but I really do not feel like celebrating not for one second.

Life without is not the life for any. I agree. Happyness will come in small tiny doses. A piece of choclate, a sip of liquer, not being run over by a train. Good luck.

Hey Lost! I have sooo been where you are. I spent years alone with my oldest daughter, and toward the end I learned that I didn't need a man to make me happy, just my baby and our health...I pray that you find that stregth in yourself. You are a good person and I want you to have all the best that life can offer. *hugs* I hope the new year brings you love, self reliance and happiness.
