The Olympics happens once every two years. For some of us, it's the only real taste that we will get of culture outside of our own. Sometimes we forget that there's a world out there that we will never see, feel, touch, or experience. What secrets are there to uncover? Is there a way that we can connect to people half-way around the globe?
I've been lucky enough to have been born in a different country and experience something different than the life I have now. This though, only helps to spark my curiosity, as i understand that there is music that would be disgraced if i did not try and listen to what they had to tell me. Words are not important if they cannot flow with the song that it is tied to. I think that is part of the reason why I have come to enjoy music from different parts of the world. I have barely touched the surface of foreign music, but I hope to have the chance to experience more as I continue my search for great musical artists.
As the games are located in Beijin this year, i thought i'd make this next song relate to the culture from Asia. Lee Soo Young has had some fame in the U.S. due to music from game soundtracks. She is Korean, and her music is very soothing, which is partly due to why i really enjoy her music. I hope that with this song, you will take into consideration that your taste in music does not necessarily have be stuck to one specific language or genre. Music breaks cultural barriers.
Enjoy! :)
Song: Good Bye
Artist: Lee Soo Young
Album: My Stay in Sendai
Genre: Korean Pop(K-pop)/Ballad

First off, thanks for reading my blog! And i can see why you made that comment. When i said every two years, i was referring to the summer and the winter olympics.
