| Kamelot - The Haunting (Somewhere in Time)

I promised a song by Kamelot, and here it is. I chose this song specifically for its relevance to Epica. Simone Simon, the lead singer of Epica sings in this song with the lead singer of Kamelot, showing the link that these bands have with each other as I mentioned last week. When i went to see Kamelot in concert, Simone actually made an appearance even though she was on a different tour to sing her part in this song.
I first found Kamelot by searching for Epica. I never got into Kamelot's "Epica" CD and didn't listen to them again until a friend told me to listen to some of their other songs a year or so later. I was surprised by how good they were and couldn't believe that i had shrugged them off so quickly the first time i heard them! This brings in a good point that, you cannot judge a band by only hearing a few songs. But, alas, we all tend to judge a band by only a few songs and it's a habbit that is hard to change. So I hope that you wont judge this blog by only hearing a few songs, as it's my point to encompass a wide variety of music.
I think it's boring to stick to one genre or specific kind of music, so that's why i'm trying to hit a wide spectrum of songs that I have on my blog. Music cannot be explained by one song or one band or one genre, and one shouldn't limit themselves to just these. Even though we can never touch on all the music in our lifetime, having a good library of music will allow us to develop understanding to those who have a different taste of music than we do!

Totally agree with you. It's impossible to judge a band by just one song, you need to hear at least one or two albums.
And yes, that song is AMAZING. So is Kamelot :D
