| Globus - Preliator |
Thanks to a friend who made me aware of Globus, i am glad that i've been able to find more music that i can add to my library. If you have followed along in my blog, you probably listened to the instrumental from Immediate music. I posted their song, Prelude back in August. (One of my first posts). I found out pretty quickly after hearing a few songs that Globus is the music from Immediate music with lyrics!! I can't believe that I hadn't heard of them sooner! They have been able to take the songs that they produced, added lyrics/choir to it, and made the pieces even better by using the name of Globus.
Sometimes it's just a preference if you prefer songs with only instrumentals or those with lyrics. With Globus, due to the 'epic' songs that they work with from Immediate music's library, and the use of orchestras, most of the lyrics in a lot of their songs is by using Latin. Another song that i posted in August, Lee Soo-Young - Goodbye, i wrote: Words are not important if they cannot flow with the song that it is tied to. If the lyrics are in a language that one does not understand, it needs to flow with the instruments so that one can feel tied to the song without knowing the words. I think this is also true with choirs. If it cannot flow with the song, it will lose it's strength and depth that it can/should add.
The amazing thing with Preliator is that they use a single woman vocalist for most of the Latin lyrics. It really helps to add the epic proportion of this song and bring it to another level! I hope that this song will enlighten you to the depth of choir/solo music and how it can create exceptional pieces of music by use of Latin.
Also, this piece probably reminds you of something you've heard before and it's because this was used for the Spiderman 2 trailer(source song name: Lacrimosa). Classic and epic, this is just a taste of what Immediate music has produced through Globus. Enjoy! :)
