| Enigma - Gravity of Love |
I've had this song in my music library for ages. I have no idea how i got it or where it came from, but it's been a favorite of mine, mostly for how calming it is in the beginning. I think what pulled me to the song is the choir voices in the background that sings parts of the song in latin. I really think that it adds quite a bit to this song and that it was integrated very well.
With Valentine's Day already passed, i thought i'd stick with another song that speaks of love. Partly because the last blog post that I made, made me think about this specific piece. I never really payed much attention to the lyrics or what the song really was trying to say concerning the "gravity of love." As I thought about this, I actually pulled up the lyrics and found out what the song was trying to say. One verse caught me off guard, and thought that it would be worth putting in this blog. It says:

Thats the chance to live your life and discover
What it is, whats the gravity of love
I was taking my own advice from the last blog to think about what the songs were saying concerning love, i.e. if it is sad or happy. In this one, i can see that lyrics is about searching for what the gravity of love is, and they don't have an answer for it. Interesting... I guess that's what makes thing song somewhat mysterious? I wonder what emotions this song brings to those who listen to what it is trying to say?
