| Earshot - Tongue Tied |
I am continuing my trek with modern U.S. rock. I've found it refreshing to come back to music that's more mainstream in nature. Even though it has grown old on me, there's usually a few good songs that are released every once in awhile, and even some that aren't played on the radio. For me, those songs are tougher to hear as i don't necessarily worry too much about listening to the full CD of certain bands. I blame it on there being too much music with too little time on my hands. There has to be either more hours in a day or we just need to function on less sleep! I'd prefer the latter, at least i'll have more time to juggle work, school, girlfriend, and music! :)
Earshot is one of those few bands that I actually found somewhat interesting. Their music is pretty mainstream, yet they have some unique songs and vocals. This song speaks to me and as it's not a song that was promoted as a single, it's one that i would never have found had i not decided to listen to their CD. So i guess, sometimes it's worth to listen to a CD of a band, as their songs can be fairly good and still not make the radio! And sometimes it's not...i remember breaking a couple CD's as I was very disappointed in the lack of musical talent besides their "one-hit" song.
