 Confessions of an insomniac.
There's something so particularly peculiar about the night.

The darkness that embraces you.. are you scared? or calm?

Even as a youth, I took comfort in the night. The fact that you couldn't make out hardly anything at all (well, yeah..that was a bit frightening, I must admit.) But how about  those occasional nights you decided to play a covert operation in which you (rambunctiously) sneak as quietly as you can into the kitchen to  grab whatever goodies you could strain your inconveniently short little arms to reach for on the top shelf of the cabinet, and then quickly hurry back into your bedroom before your parents awake to find you stuffing  junk down your throat....

no?

Okay, maybe that was just me.. but the point is this:

I love the night, it's amazingly soothing, and I find it to be the time that I'm able to clearly focus and collectively gather my thoughts so as to arrange the day that I will awake to next. Odd. But comforting. Some nights bring more thought than others.. (I mean, c'mon, we can't all be so fortunate as to have that pre-dream epiphany in which EUREKA! -you finally discovered the meaning of life. ... and if that's the case for you... then sign me up for whatever sleeping pills you're on.)

And when I mention "arrange the day that I will awake to next," I do not mean tit-for-tat either.
No, no, no.. I just mean that I like to think about what it is that I HAVE to do the next day. (work, appointments, errands, etc.)

So, my question to all (ten) of you who read my blog is:

Is there a certain part of the day in which you take the time to think for yourself? Why that part of the day, and is there anything in particular that you like to think about?

You can be as open and descriptive as you'd like.

go on...

captivate me.

Usually at night time, when there is nothing else to do, i just lay in bed and look for answers to any question that might hapen to cross my mind, even if it isnt something i really care about, random things... and sometimes when im really concentrated and ive almost got a definite solution to whatever it is i was thinking about my perception of things changes (this might sound funny but it really does happen sometimes) for example my hands will feel strangly big, or my head or my tongue, or something thats close (like if i have the covers over my head) seems far... its strange, but ive had it forever now and it doesnt bother me, its a different way of perceiving reality, this has very little to do with what you asked, but its o.k., i dont really care. :)

No, that's in fact, exactly what I was looking for. It definitely makes sense (or at least to me it does.) Thanks for responding.
