 To hell with Michigan

My belongings had been packed for a week. I was ready to leave the state of Michigan. I had a job set up in Yellowstone National Park to be a room attendant for Xanterra; a company that provided the security, and lodging services in the park. The month long wait was over and I was to leave first thing in the morning. I had a few drinks to help put me to sleep early.

The next morning I awoke around 9:00 A.M. It felt like any other day. I had no specific time to leave because I was leaving 4 days in advance when it only took 24 hours to get there. The first thing I did was take my backpack full of paperwork, and hygiene supplies to my car. I came back in to my aunt's house and told them I was leaving soon. They gave my the safe trip lecture, and wished me luck. I went in my room and grabbed my bag of clothes, and my guitar and amp. I got in my new car and drove off down the road with a wide grin. Now I was beginning to feel like I was new again.
