I am new to all this Blog stuff so if I do this wrong, please bear with me, I am a work in progress!
I just felt I needed to share my thoughts with someone and get this off my chest!
I cannot express to you my complete frustration with some of these corporate giants that use such great slogans in their advertising to get your business and then when they have you it's like pulling eye teeth to get them to listen to you if there is a problem.
You spend your hard earned $$$ believing in their products and then right before your eyes their customer service attempts just disappear!
My husband and I purchased a Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD Duramax Diesel with the Allison transmission. He was really excited about this Allison because he had been a fireman for over 22 years and many of the fire engines that he drove had the Allison. And of course we bought the diesel because for one thing it's a work horse and second because of the longevity. We travel alot and pull a 32' toy hauler so it seemed a perfect choice, we knew it would last a long time!
Then the nightmare began since we have purchased this truck we have put on nearly 87,000 miles but it has taken replacing all the injectors three times!
We have taken it to three different dealerships, and of course no one can seem to figure out what the problem is, why the injectors keep going bad, the last set of injectors lasted a mere 5600 miles!
So at one point the delarship which primarily took care of our truck said "you need to get in touch with General Motors" So I did!
What a waste of energy that was, we were treated so poorly, they wanted nothing to do with us, they basically wanted us to just go away and never bother them again, they were done with us, they had our money!
GM's response was in their opinion the truck had performed to their expectations, WHAT ABOUT OUR EXPECTATIONS????
I just don't understand what ever happened to a manufacturer standing behind their product?
I have to tell you all my husband and I never want to spend another dime for a GM product and I will share my horror story with whom ever will listen!
it would so simple for the General Motors to solve this problem if they weren't adhering to dunderheaded policies
So I guess the moral of the story is BUYER BEWARE because once you have bought a product from General Motors the BUCK STOPS THERE!!!
