Too much Joe? A British teenager has been admitted to hospital after overdosing on coffee. Jasmine Lewis (17) started “burning up, hyperventilating, laughing and crying at the same time” after drinking her seventh espresso of the day. She was a teenager who overdosed – was this a genuine suicide attempt or simply a cry for help? What will come next – Grannies attempting home euthanasia by hot chocolate? I can hear them now; “It’s my time, Cybil – just give me one more cup of Horlicks… I can see the light!” Loony Left Left handed people are better at sport and make more money than their right handed compadres, but they are also more prone to stuttering, dyslexia, autism and breast cancer! How the hell can scientists determine these things purely based on a person’s preferred hand??? Do they clone people and force them to lead exactly the same lives with the same choices and opportunities, friendships and education, while throughout this time tie the hand of their choosing behind their subject’s back? And what is their control experiment? People with no hands? Back at school the control experiment used to be the subject matter wrapped in tin foil then placed in daylight. Does someone wrap the hands (cut from the handless people mentioned earlier) in tin foil then take a barrowload of them down to the park and stick them on the swings? Someone please explain these results for me. The article I read tried to prove the point by listing such famous lefthanders as George Bush Snr, Reagan, Clinton, Michaelangelo, Jimi Hendrix and Robert de Niro – so what! Are they trying to say that if you cut that person’s hand off they wouldn’t be as capable. OK, forget Hendrix on that one, but it’s still a daft argument.
