About Me
About Me
Hello, my name is Lilac Davis.  I am 17 years old and I live in Bakliliviatatlaglooshen, Zambia.  Well, not really. I'm not going to tell you where I live.   But I can tell you a bit more about me. I play on a local soccer team called the Angels   and ironically I used to be on a little kids' team called the Devils - I guess you could say that reflects my personality, as I tend to be a bit of each. I have 5 best friends, Erin, Leah, Lily, Lory and Abbie, who I've known as long as I can remember, 2 little brothers, Drew and Daniel, 1 little sister, Melissa, and 1 older brother, Matthew (aka Matt).

Peace, love, world domination!

I'm so glad you posted this. I couldn't have said it better myself. I grew up in a small town being taught that family was all that mattered, and when my family took a trip to the city, I was amazed- not at the sights, but at all the people. That was the first time I was able to talk to lots of other people, and now I couldn't be happier. The one thing that still upsets me is that there are people out there like I was, people who are miserably hiding in a corner, just waiting to break the chains and fly free. It makes me wonder if, were everyone exposed to such wonderful things when they were still young, would there be more people in this world who could live happy lives? Can we turn someone's winter into spring, melt their heart with a warm smile? Or is it simply too late? "The heart of the matter is the matter of the heart To save a world that's dying it's the only place to start We can sway one's opinion, turn their point of view But only when the heart is changed can the old become the new" (posted in All Alone in the World)
Marriage. Oh, joy. I remember my first wedding- my aunt and uncle's, in case you were wondering. My cousin was NOT happy about his part in the wedding and, to make a long story short, everyone ended up covered in cake and punch and my uncle recieved quite a telling-off from the rather unhappy bride. That was... 12 years ago?... Anyway, I suppose the most you can do is hang in there and hope this Susan isn't the type to hold a grudge. (posted in Susan and David)
I wouldn't call it jealousy- it's completely normal to want to know that somebody loves you, that there's someone you can go to, someone who understands you. I felt like that a lot when I was a kid. I know you're probably tired of hearing this- my parents used to tell me all the time- but someday you're gonna look back on this blog, read it, and laugh at yourself =). (posted in Ulices the man I have grown to HATE!)
