 5 hours to go
Finally, it is 1:20 AM, I have finally finished everything I had set out to do.  I bought a bunch of things such as coffee , vitamin pills , chocolate, and perfume< I am so good at picking presents>!!  Hopefully it is enough presents for them relatives that I have never met.  I also got pictures done.  I just love studio pictures because no matter how bad you look, it comes out gorgeous.  What else did I do?  I had a great dinner at a very nice Korean restaurant with my boyfriend.  I finished packing all of my things, or at least what I can put into that tiny winy suitcase of mine; my boyfriend says he would send the rest of my things to me.  It basically covers my entire to-do list that I have been meaning to do this past 3 weeks.

But little do you know how agonizing the day was for me to get this far....

As I promised my mom yesterday, I was to go get some paperwork done today, so both of us woke up at 8 and drove 45 minutes downtown to the TECO.    We were pretty lost on our way there, that's why it took so long.  When we got there, I realized I had forgot to write down my Taiwanese ID number, so I called my boyfriend.  He was still asleep, so I kept calling and leaving him messages hoping that he would eventually get woken up by the sound of the phone and come to my rescue.  He didn't.  After the maybe 7th message, the lady who was helping us lost her patience and she sent us out the door telling us when we get hold of the number just fax it to her.

Just as we are coming off the highway, heading into the suburbs, my mom freaked out at a street light with cam, and she slammed the brake.  Before we can do anything else, the car behind us crashed into us.  None of us got hurt, our car is ok, just a little dent, but the other guy wasn't so lucky, he had a dent and the paint has been scratched off.  I once again called my boyfriend for help.  And once again, he didn't hear the phone after I left 5 more messages, so I gave up and called our insurance agent.  And yes, I do know that we are suppose to do that anyways, but still!!  It wasn't our fault, and our insurance agent made him signed a statement saying that he will not press charges and we will not claim from his insurance.  That sucks.  But on the bright side, our car is a 1994 Toyota, while that other guy is a 2007.   He's probably having it worst than us since his car is so new.

Some way some how we ended up at a nearby Walmart and my mom decides to buy some candy.   It was quick and painless.  We came, we saw, we bought it~  But here's the bad part; my mom has forgotten the keys in the ignition, we are locked out of the car, and the car is still running.  Great.  Guess who I'm calling?  My boyfriend.  Guess who still slept through the annoying rings and message beeps?  That guy too!!  O well, time to rely on self.  We went back into Walmart and got a hanger, thinking that we can open the car with it like they do in the movies.  Yeah, that was a dumb idea, don't even know why we tried in the first place.  So my mom called stepdad , and I called my friends.  My friends made fun of me of course, but they agreed to come pick me up.  My step dad got to us first and opened the car for us, he gave us a few dirty looks and then left.  Dang, he just knows to kick people when they are down!!

We eventually got home safely without anymore dramas, and I was right; Robert was sleeping ignoring the beeping voice mail.  I quickly writing down the information needed for the TECO, and my mom left.  Robert finally woke up, but he was not happy.  Gee, shouldn't I be the one unhappy?  But as always, we never fight, so I just told him how bad my day was and how I needed him and he wasn't there for me.  He felt really bad but he got over it pretty quickly, and soon enough, he's getting upset again because I was mad that he couldn't hear the phone.  Yes, I know he was tired, but I left 19 messages!!!  What the hell?!?!

But yeah, I'm over it, and the rest of the day went by like butter~    We took some great pictures, ate great food, and cherished our one last time together.  Even though he didn't help me pack my things, he at least was the one who carried them suitcases down the stairs, so it is all good.  And now it's 2AM.  I'm leaving for the airport at 3, I'll write more when I get settled in Taiwan!
Ciao!
