We Miss Them All
We add another name to the list of the too soon departed
It is best not to get attached but it is hard when a connection has been started
For Evelyn and Richard it didn't hurt as much since their time was short
Yet Millie occupies more present space though in stature short.
Come quickly Lord and dry away the grievings many tears
And forgive those that in order to calm their sorrow have a couple beers.
There can be comfort for the reunion on that great resurrection day
Are there any more words that we now need to say?
The good book says that we will get new bodies when we get to heaven
We just might faint if we saw Millie at a height of six foot seven.
Dedicated to the late Millie R. from Shrewsbury, Massachusetts who passed away last week at the age of 90. She was probably no more than 4'6". Although she was short in stature many people looked up to her.
