The Veteran's Report
We are the forgotten veterans from the relationship wars
There is no mail, or calls and few would think to knock on the door
Shut out of the church and society as well
The temperature is rising could we have landed in hell.
We have given our all not expecting and received nothing in return
What is the temperature that paper will start to burn?
Those old fashion ladies and the feminist are one in the same
They want to be worshiped like a god and won't come out in the rain.
The land is stained red from all the needless hearts that were broken
So many wars could have been avoided if a few words had been spoken.
As the darkness approached we reached for a hand up
Society turned away leaving a view of some bumps.
