Isaiah 44:24 and Trinitarian perversion?
>>Just before you start with Colin could I ask you about the scrip at Isaiah 44v24 “I Jehovah am doing everything stretching out the heavens by MYSELF laying out the earth WHO was with me?”
How would you address this in view of lur’s post on Hebrew’s 1v10? <<
Reply,
Trinitarians are always trying to use certain scriptures, as Trinity proof texts! Not only do miss the point of particular scriptures they are trying to use, but in their zeal. They twist and pervert the context and meaning of such scriptures and Isa 44:24 is no exception!
Isa 44:24 NIV
"This is what the LORD says your Redeemer, who formed you in the womb:
I am the LORD, who has made all things, who alone stretched out the heavens,
who spread out the earth by myself…”
Trinitarians, it would seem, take the text of Isa 44:24 in isolation, and completely ignore the context and surrounding verses…! The Greek NT makes it clear that the Father used a master worker, His own Son, as a *mediating agent* [dia – *through* or *by* i.e. *by means of*] in the creative process! As regards, *dia* etc, this subject has been covered in *great detail* by rabbit and myself in previous replies with Trinitarians giving less than satisfactory replies…!
Trinitarians seem to seize on the single word “alone” used as an adverb in this instance, meaning ‘without aid, help etc, and are deliberately and theologically blind to what Isaiah was inspired to write in this portion of Isaiah 44, thus ignoring the broader context of what Isa 44 has to say!
The reason Isa says, “alone”, is to be seen in Isa 44:1-17, which Trinitarians in their spiritual blindness and bias completely dismiss or at best are blind to!
There in Isaiah it refers to ‘those cutting down trees…a man takes half of it and makes a fire, the other half, he makes into a god for himself and bows down to it and asks his god to deliver him…[v18-20] they have no understanding, insight or knowledge…they eat meat because of one half and then make a detestable thing with the other, insulting Jehovah…his heart has been led astray and fools himself into saying, he has done nothing wrong…[v21-23] Jehovah reminds Israel, that they belong to Him, and He will forgive them, if they truly return to Him and repent…
Taking the above into consideration,
Isa 44:24 NWT
“This is what Jehovah has said, your Repurchaser and the Former of you from the belly: “I, Jehovah, am doing everything, stretching out the heavens by myself [*alone* NIV] , laying out the earth. Who was with me?”
Taken at first glance and at face value i.e. v24, on its own, without any consideration for the *context* and the *contrast* of the preceding verses, it may be seen as Trinitarians see and understand it; in its isolation, but that is where it ends and like illegally downloading music from the internet, ignorance, especially deliberate blind ignorance, *is no excuse…* [one still gets prosecuted by the authorities, when caught…] and so likewise, with ignorant, especially reprehensibly and deliberately ignorant biased Trinitarians, *who are caught twisting* the context, meaning and contrast of Isa 44:24, their prosecution is their exposure!
What Trinitarians fail to appreciate, because of their blind Trinitarian bias, is that there is a *contrast* that is being highlighted! Under inspiration, Isaiah is showing how *absurd it is to worship idols*, who are all of them an unreality, the figment of men’s imagination and day dreaming etc!
So, when the text of Isa 44:24 NIV says,
"This is what the LORD says your Redeemer, who formed you in the womb: am the LORD, who has made all things, *who alone* stretched out the heavens, who spread out the earth by myself…”
Or,
Isa 44:24 NWT
“This is what Jehovah has said, your Repurchaser and the Former of you from the belly: “I, Jehovah, am doing everything, stretching out the heavens *by myself* laying out the earth. Who was with me?”
The text of Isa 44:24 is showing by way of *contrast* and in *relation* to, how absurd it is to worship the gods of the nations, who are an unreality and so, when Jehovah, through His prophet say, “who alone or *by myself*, he is speaking in relation to non existent gods, and Isaiah is contrasting them with Him, and this is what conniving and deliberately sneaky, ignorant Trinitarians omit to tell others about, that it is really a contrasting text, contrasting Jehovah with non existent gods…!
So, when Isa 44:24 says what it says, it doesn’t meant what Trinitarians are *forcing*it to say, they are in effect perverting and lying as to what Isaiah actually meant, as they do with many others scriptures…!
So to conclude, Isa 44:24 is in harmony with Heb 1:10, when the contrast, context and surrounding verses are not ignored, as they are conveniently and deliberately by Trinitarians…!
