Ok so if you've read my previous entries by now then you'll know i was raped (its scarier to write that down than you might think!) Long story short two years ago when i was 18 i was dragged by a stranger down an alley and raped and assaulted with shards of broken glass and left for dead, unfortunately the assault left me pregnant and upsettingly i miscarried the baby, i'm working REALLY hard at dealing with stuff and my writing is a BIG part of this, so if you take the time to even READ this LET ALONE COMMENT well then thats an amazing thing to me and i cant explain how appreciative i am!!! I want very much to start campaigning about this stuff as i feel a big part of the problem with rape is that people dont really understand why it happens and what impact it has on its survivors, however there is more to me than what happened to me so i'll be writing about everyday stuff too :) Any ideas with regards campaigning or general comments or just saying hi would be nice...... x

I was raped on my 21st birthday and have only told a few people about it. No one can understand how violated one feels after going through such drama as a rape. I never reported the man, and to this day I still feel guilty about not reporting it. Whenever I smell cologne on a man that was the same as the man who violated me, all those memories come back. On the plus side I have realized that talking about it really does help the healing process, and it's nice to have someone just listen and offer sound advise.

I will be there for you! While I dont know exactly what you are feeling because I haven't experienced that, I would still love to be there for you. My mom was raped many times by strangers and men she knew and trusted in her life so I hear about this a lot. My mom has done A LOT of healing especially in the past few years and I can tell that it was a huge burden to be lifter off her shoulders!

Nothing is more wonderful than to see womyn stand up and fight back even if its just opening up on a blog.Rape is a crime violent crime committed like every 32 seconds,and what a fucking shame that human beings can do that do one another..truly a shame indeed ..for whats its worth Im sorry as a man and as a fellow thoughts blogger.Id sure would love to see the day when we stop fighting/hurting/raping etc women and start standing in solidarity with them.
