SAFETY TIPS FOR KIDS AND PARENTS
Safety Tips for Parents

A child treated with respect and love is a safer child
Encourage your child to talk honestly about his or her feelings, fears and friends. Listen to them and communicate and respect their feelings. Let them know it's okay to say no, even to an adult. If they know you'll listen , they are more likely to tell you if someone acted in appropriately.

Praise your childs good judgement.
This makes them feel more confident to protect themselves in dangerous situations. let your child know how much you love them. Don't be afraid to give a hug and say I or we love you.

Teach them about strangers. While children are quick to understand about strangers, They are more likely to be abducted or harmed by someone they know. Make it clear that know one  should be allowed to touch them without their permission. Let them know its okay to no to any touching that makes them feel unconfortable, even from family members. Never insist a child give hugs and kisses to someone if they are uncomfortable doing so.

Staying safe means being prepared.
