 Freedom?

Tears roll silently down pale cheeks
Pain, sadness, disappointments over so many weeks
A heart cradled in shards of longing for a distant love like a mist
Storms of longing and desire rage within her soul amidst
The tentacles of another threatening to entwine and choke.

The wind carries her desperate pleas
Over mountains, vales and seas
The only witness to her heart-wrenching weeping,
The silent night and silver moon, its cold light sweeping
Over a lonely figure forlornly waiting, waiting.

After a night of weeping, tis said, joy will come in the morning
Far above, unreachable like this LOVE, a lone eagle soaring
When? Oh when? …. She cries!!!
Will it be? Will it ever be? Her mournful song flung to the skies!
… and only the silence answers

One could argue this mystery away by presuming that there are innumerable other tears, each with different possibilities of natural and other factors. Our tears merely happens to be the one that where everything is "just right" for the elegantly systematic works that allow for the emergence of intelligent beings like us.

I like this poem. I used to feel this way a lot. Not finding love and feeling halpless.

Smiles. Love i have - tis the loss of one. This poem i wrote a few years ago, to be exact 2005 - but it so summed up my feelings for now that i used it again. Tears cleanse the hurts and helps to wash soul, but, as i said, joy comes in the morning. The time for sadness should be over - well it is really, I just have to allow myself to let it go.
