I am joining the blogging world. I used to love to write and I am going to make an effort to use this site to express my mad skills. Perhaps parlay this in to the book my grandmother, Gram, always wanted me to write.
Today has been a lazy yet productive day. Haven't showered yet, ew. Have been in and out of the yard. Trying to make my house a home. I have been in this house many years. Never had the funds or time to "decorate". My kids are grown and gone, left the nest so to speak. My decorating skills leave much to be desired but hey, it's mine :)
Looking for salvage. Found a cute little table recently on a trip to Tucson. Found it way in the back of a little furniture store. A little warped and dirty (cobwebs and all) but the price was right or so I thought. $31.90 I read without my reading glasses. The store owner proclaimed what a darling little table it was! Hey, I thought not a bad find. She polished it up for me while I continued to shop. Grabbed a couple trinkets and went to pay. Well, $31.90 was actually $319.00. Lesson learned, don't shop without the readers! Oye, i bought it anyway. Goes well with the flokati rug I "won" on my first e-bay experience. I got the price right this time but the product was not what it seemed to be. So, now I have a darling little warped night stand to go with my GIANT wool flokati ivory (YELLOW) area rug that looks like a llama having a very bad hair day. MY bedroom, hardly a haven :(
