So I've been having weird ass dreams lately. I blame it on the highly addictive game World of War Craft. I first started playing around December 2007 for a few months then gave it up for a while because I've been busy with other things and I just lost interest. Also I'm a CoH girl at heart hehe . But last weekend I started playing again and I didn't stop until my hand started hurting from holding my mouse for so many hours. I didn't accomplish anything and I have lots to do. With the business and housekeeping and so on... Even know I am thinking about going home and turning on my puter to log on. I know, it is a sad sick addiction and I have no control. I think I need to make a deal with myself and set certain daily goals and tasks to accomplish and then I can reward myself with some WoW time. LOL that sounds so funny to me. I have to discipline myself because I have no self control and I'll continue to neglect my life just to play. Like I said, it is sick!
Anyways........
So, my friend who ordered the tags gave me a little more than double the material cost, which was actually half the price I was wanting. But it is better than nothing. Really it is my fault for not setting a price or at the very least an estimate up front. The printer ink eventually dried and the tags game out beautifully. Two lessons learned there.
My best friend who lives in Minneapolis is throwing a surprise party for his partner and wants me to do the invitations. I know I can not charge my bestest friend in the whole world even though he offered to pay me. He is building my website and helps me market. If anything I owe him. The party is late October but he doesn't want any fall or Halloween colors or themes. Instead he wanted blue and yellow but not your typical blue and yellow. Something different. So I have a ton of this blue Bayou cardstock that I absolutely love. (the color is retired now) This shade of blue goes very well with a saffron yellow color that I have. I wanted to do a pocket card with a separate pull out with the actual invite details printed on it. Stampin' Up (my favorite vendor) also had the blue bayou color in printed designer paper that would be perfect for the invitations. Too bad I didn't get the chance to buy some before the color was retired and discontinued. But someone suggested that I look around on SplitCoastStampers.com (that is my favorite website for inspiration. The people who make cards on that site are so talented!) I posted on a forum for buy/sell/trade for what I was looking for and I got several people to respond. It was awesome. So Now I will be able to make the invitations the way I designed them in my head! Yay!
