One more reason that Starbucks sucks... They do not offer free wifi! You have to buy a day pass for 10 bucks! WTF!
I love coffee. I used to love going to Starbucks a few years ago. They were great! But within the past year or so, it seems that the quality of their products and service has gone down while their prices seem to keep going up. With the ever increasing rise in the locally own coffee shops what actually work hard to win over customers, I haven't been to a Starbucks in a while. Maybe once every few months if I happen to be in a bookstore and it’s convenient. My roommate gave me a gift card to Starbucks for dog sitting while she was away and I had plans to get together with one of my friends to show her a program online. We decided on coffee at Starbucks. But after we purchased our beverages and attempted to log on to the net, we found out we had to pay 9.99 for a day pass. WOW! You would think that Starbucks is wealthy enough to offer free wifi. Especially with their growing reputation (not the good kind) you would think that they would try to offer as many services and benefits to their customers as they can. Well, at least I thought that. So rather than shell out the ten bucks we left and went to her house. If we hadn't already paid for our coffee we would have went to another coffee shop that I know offers free wifi. It was just a bit irritating. Some of my friends absolutely hate Starbucks referring to them as the devil, but up until now I've always attempted to defend Starbucks. I don't think I'll be going back any time soon. Even with a gift card for free coffee.
