| TRUTH DARE AND MODERN TECHNOLOGY

i have blogged on here in the past few months how i hate modern technology. it was either over my head or under my feet (so to speak). lately though i have begun to change my tune a little. i learned (with some help) to use this computer and the next item on my technological hit list. ready?? ta da.......the dreaded cell phone. i am finally drawn into the world of the pain in the ass, drive and stop talking, singing ringtone, picture taking cell phone. oh yes, i am! my excuse for getting one? emergencies! and only emergencies. that was good for about a week and then i started finding out the these little communication tools are pretty decent. now you combine the two and you have the beginning of a cool story. through the computer i met someone. someone that has taught me a great deal about having fun and not giving up and living a full life. we began talking on our cells and the other night just for the hell of it we played TRUTH OR DARE (our version). at first it started out just ok but still fun. as the game progressed it got pretty intense as we were giving each other some fairly HOT dares. who knew it could be so much fun? by the time our "game" was over i felt like i needed a cigarette or something and i don't even smoke. this version of TRUTH OR DARE certainly won't be found in toys r us or walmart but it would definitely make an evening between two people much more interesting than say checkers. i think i'm going to be buying stock in the phone companies because with the minutes i've been having to buy i could feed an entire country. as for the future and all the other new technological toys coming out i will never poke fun at them or assume they couldn't possibly enhance my life or mock someone else for having them. i will keep an open mind. the TRUTH? modern toys are cool. the DARE? i dare you to try them. MODERN TECHNOLOGY? bring it on. take a chance.

Welcome to the world of technology! I love it, personally. My 72 yr old sister from nowhere-place, TX (Flatonia, pop 1200) just built herself a MySpace page. It's fun, it's amazing, and it'll keep you young (and make your grandkids think you're "cool").
