Thoughts.com Blogs - TO COMMENT OR NOT TO COMMENT ! THAT IS THE QUESTIO

Alright here goes another pm post (piss and moan). today i was reading a post by a long time friend and they had talked about the fact that we read and leave no comment. it made her feel not so good. another friend of mine said exactly the same thing, that he posts and no one bothers to comment or even read it at times. i am no expert at these things but i did look around at some of the 'popular' posts of the present and past and found a few things. i may be wrong or out of line but its an opinion (and as we all know opinions are like ass holes, everybody has one).
I made it to the popular list several times when i was posting about the spouse. most likely bc everyone wanted to know how much shit i could take before i finally exploded or when he would just kill me or when i would kill him or when i would finally leave. i did just that a couple months ago and it was the best thing i've ever done. i posted several times and my posts were no longer about the crap in my marriage but of my current life which is BORING. then i posted about some issues i was having and again i got to the popular list. why??? bc people want to hear about the drama in our lives. who wants to hear about my uninteresting stuff?? the only ones that do are my friends here and they want to hear if i sneeze (and i love them for it).
I looked at some posts and there were a few that had huge hits and not one comment. no one knew what to say i guess. i read a LOT of posts. some i ignore bc they're by people i don't even want to associate with and i find their posts gross and distasteful. thats my choice and as soon as i see the poster i avoid it like a leper, hell i'd take the leper over them to be honest. but i digress.......
I saw a comment on the one post i mentioned earlier and it was a good idea. if i read a post and its by someone i respect and know or respect and don't know i'm going to leave at least a 'hello'. i'll simply say i didn't know what to say to the post but wanted them to know i at least read it and needed to make it known that i was there. the comments will shoot through the roof for sure and people will start believing that yes, we do care about them and their words.
The comments on this post were exactly what i feel at times, that my words would be so inconsequential or just a repeated thought that it just goes without saying anything. i believe the saying nothing is what gets to us. we start believing no one cared enough to say 'anything'? not a freaking word, when in fact we are just at a loss for words. sounds strange since this whole entire site is based solely on words and thoughts.
I have read things on here that i think 'i don't get it' or 'there is nothing i can say that will make them feel better' so i don't say anything. the fact is saying 'something' is all that is needed to make them feel better. just one word from us will make someone smile or think 'happy thoughts'. i am blessed for sure for the people on here that read my posts regularly and comment. when i see someone comment that is new to my blogs or that i haven't heard from before they immediately go to 'BOOKMARK' and then to my friends list and BAMMMMM i have a new friend. how easy and wonderful is that?
So here it is April 28, 2008 and i am turning over a new comment leaf. i pledge to comment on all that i read and say 'something' and if i have nothing to say i will leave a "HELLO". now for those that will get my "HELLO" don't have a hissy fit. it simply means i didn't know what to say but felt compassion, sadness, confusion, empathy or some equal emotion but had no words to express them. i always feel something for absolutely every blog i read. i just sometimes do not know what to say in words. that is not a flaw but a crack in my otherwise perfect self.
Now my fingers will bleed from all the typing, and my hands will crumble from pain of being in a 'typing position' this woman will comment. i will set an example for all my fellow posters here and we will form a union of commenters. we will fill the post with 'hello', 'don't get it', 'thinking of u', 'just dropped by to say hello' and my personal favorite 'just passing through'. but comments will be left like bird shit on my jeep. no one will feel ever again like lastblast doesn't care. i am "SUPERCOMMENTER" from here on out.
