| THE SPOUSE'S 'FAMILY' DINNER......

Yesterdays was Tinkerbells birthday and a bunch of us at work took her out to celebrate. we just had drinks and snacks but it was a good time. she is completely crazy and i am absolutley insane for having her in my friends circle. what would i do without her is something i never want to find out. she is my soul sister for sure.
I got up today and went to work as usual but the day didn't end so well for me.....i slipped and sprained my left ankle. it's swollen and i can barely walk on it but made it through the day anyway. jesus it hurts like a son of a gun.....i look like i have the ankle of shrek...huge and nasty. i have off tomorrow but i have to work tuesday (my normal day off) for someone that wants that day to 'do some things'....so shit...how am i going to handle this is anyone's guess. for the last two weeks i've worked my days off for someone else.....when is it my turn???
The spouse invited me and the kids to a little dinner......for a bitof 'family time' he said. So I hobbled in with the kids and we had a nice dinner and just about the time we all had relaxed a bit the phone rang.......one ringy dingy....two ringy dingys......'hello' he said..........yelling and hollering from the other end is all we could hear.....except the 'you son of a bitch'....i got that one really clear.......it was the girlfriend......i sat there and just smiled my little sneaky smile and thanked god that i wasn't here anymore......i didn't know what the 'idea' of the dinner was until after the phone call ended. he wanted to let the kids know in front of me that he was ready to reconcile....and that i was not. the kids all looked at me and i thought'oh shit'....but i have intelligent kids and the girls simply said...if i did go back they would lose all respect for me.....yea!!!! i really did raise smart girls.... the 'family' thing was nice and it did show that he had a little teeny tiny bit of honor in him but it is too late for him and i and this family to be 'the brady bunch',that ship has sailed a long time ago. so here i am at home with my foot propped up and in a great deal of pain but feeling very smug and satisfied with myself.
So i think it may be unofficially official that he has 'given up' the fight to get me back and relive history.....i am through with him. i am done with satan aka the spouse aka asshole aka dickhead. HURRAY!!!! what more could i ask for right now???? Don't ask ! Right!

ankle feels a lot better this morning....:) been down lately but am doing better in that area too...:) did you get your surprise???? post lady said about a week and thats tomorrow so it should be soon..:) K

That is so awesome! Your kids are smart to not buy into his BS.... and that's really funny about the gf calling in the middle, it's almost like karma. :)

Wow, you give me hope. I have always been skiddish about what my daughter would think if I decided to leave. But I know she is intelligent, so your children definetly let me see that kids get it too! Thanks!

I am happy that you know what you want and are sticking to it. You deserve a whole lot better than what he has to offer. Your kids sound awesome. I would recommend ibuprofen for the ankle.

my kids are smart sometime too smart...but in this case they spoke as women and not as my children...they are truly a blessing in my life....one good the spouse did for me....:)

Cry, children do not want us to be miserable...they want us happy and healthy and whole...if i had a nickel for everytime my kids told me to leave i would be a very rich woman financially...as it stands i am a very rich woman in life and that is even better....:)

been taking advil for the pain...although its not too awlful today and seems to feel better as the day goes on unless i stand on it...just got a call that i have the day off tomorrow instead of working so i can rest up another day....wooo hoooo....my foot would really have felt better if i could have stuck it up the spouses ass....good one karen :)

honey i know i deserve better and yes my kids are pretty rare....i love them dearly....thanks for the advice on the ankle...the swelling is still there but i am dealing with it like a big girl....:)
