when i joined this site i was under the impression that it was a site that you could speak your mind about anything your hearts desire. have a bad night? blog it. no sex? blog it. too much sex? blog it. no friends? blog. and the list just goes on and on. it's like journaling to me. hell if i have bad hair day and wanted to write about it, then fine. no one has to read it. shit, i don't read everyone's stuff either (sorry to say i do not). i was going over my friends list and finally found out how to approve and deny them and was going along very nicely. a couple i didn't recognize so i tapped into their profile and that took me of course to the comments which took me to the blog which took me here. i didn't like a couple comments this person made and then i read the sanctimonious one about this not being a place to journal but to interact with others. it is that, but i don't write here to necessarily interact with others and sometimes it's painful to do that. i don't like it when people appear in my life and then disappear. it bothers me.it hurts me. but it was stated that people that feel the need to journal should do it the old fashioned way and hard book it. (not from the particular person i am referring to). i don't want to hard book it. i want to computer it and leave it there. isn't blogging journaling? isn't journaling blogging? people here surely do pour their hearts out. they tell things and open up wounds and try to survive and heal here. there are funny things and not so funny things. there are confessions of the soul here and who does this person think they are saying "not here". oh, am i doing that to them right now? sure as shit i am! but mine is from caring about people. theirs is from being a jerk and a holier than thou. too much time on their hands i guess. i don't understand some people though. why get on sites like this and then bitch about what you read? you know damn well what people are saying or not saying. you know people need a ventilation system and who are you to say what should and should not be put on this site? are you going to personally solve their problems for them? hell no or you wouldn't be here either. you have issues too. if people start believing that they shouldn't speak their minds or spill their guts or use this as the confessional of their soul then there will be nothing here. there will be no life here. there will be no heart beat. the blogs that are hit the most are those that touch our heartstrings, our curiosity, our erotic zones (my personal favorite), our love of words blended together to make poetry, our funny bones, and our concern for the favorite bloggers going through tough times. i don't want anyone to go back to the old fashioned way of hard booking it. my hard book was invaded by the spouse and i got the living shit beat out of me for it. here i don't worry about it because said spouse doesn't know how to turn on the computer let alone look up something. i am safe here and so are my thoughts and dreams. so if you don't want to read about someones life, someones dailies, or their shit then for the sake of everyone here buzz off. me? i want to hear from my favorites. i want to see whats going on in their lives. nosy? well.......maybe but mostly concerned. thats the way i am. can't change that now. don't want to change it now. i've met friends i still have, friends i wish i still had, and friends i'm still to meet. i've met  a quilt patch of people here and what a collection i have. omg. it reminds me of that quilt the AIDS foundation have that covers how many acres now? it keeps growing and growing. i add some patches and mend a few patches and sorry to say have had to remove a couple patches. i have learned to never say never to some and to always stay open to others. my quilt is built from friends and it surely keeps me warm when i'm here. it's a nice place to come when i've had a bad day or the spouse is being extra mean and hateful (like today). this is my safe place to fall. my quilt makes it soft. my quilt makes it safe. no wonder i collect quilts. i knew there was metaphor for why i did it. i collect them so it's natural i collected one here. peace and harmony
