at work today the discussion in the break room was kissing and what type of kiss u want. i thought about it and when someone finally asked me my face turned a bit red and of course thats all she wrote. "tell us, karen" is what was chanted through out and finally i took a deep breath. "here goes" i thought.
i want the kiss i saw in my favorite movie. its the story of a man and a woman who come from different backgrounds. she a lower class than him. his name is darcy and hers elizabeth. through the entire movie there is romance but not one single kiss. not one single sex scene but yet the sexual tension is definitely there. darcy and elizabeth have to go through the social classes of their birthrights and overcome odds to finally get together. towards the end of the movie an aunt of darcy's comes to elizabeth and tells her there is no way they could ever be together and elizabeth feels defeated at last. she awakens in the early morning hours and decides to go for a walk. it's a foggy damp morning and she happens to look up and there is darcy coming from a distance. the music (which is breathtaking) slowly begins and proceeds to a full crescendo til darcy finally stops and talks to her. he tells her he couldn't sleep and apologizes for the inconsiderate actions of his aunt. she says don't worry about it since she knows it was him that set things in motion that ended up helping two of her sisters finally get the men of their dreams. he tells her it was all for her, all of it. he then tells her he still loves her deeply, but one word will silence him forever and she would never have to hear from him again. she says nothing and with her eyes tells him to proceed. darcy takes a step closer to her and tells her of his undying love and how he wants no more than to make her happy and never part from her for the rest of their lives. she takes his hand in hers and kisses it and he realizes she loves him and they move in closer and closer but never do their mouths touch.
he goes to ask her father for permission to marry and gets the green light. the final scene is them on his balcony him standing her sitting rubbing his leg. he kneels down in front of her and proceeds to ask her how her evening is going. "and how r u tonight my dear?" she answers fine and then tells him to not call her"my dear"bc it reminds her of the fact that the only time her father calls her mother by my dear ,is when he is cross with her. "so what do i call u" he asks her. she teases him with names and finally he says "and what do i call u when i'm cross, mrs darcy?". "no, no not at all" she says. "u may only call me mrs darcy when u are totally, deliriously and completely happy?" he then leans in to her and kisses her forehead and says "and how r u mrs darcy?". kisses her eyes softly "mrs darcy?, her nose "mrs darcy" her ears "mrs darcy" and then finally at long last he takes her face in his hands and ever so gently whispers "mrs darcy" and leans in to her while she is bringing up her face to his and they kiss. u can tell that the kiss is gentle but so passionate. they hold the kiss until the camera cuts away. it is the most erotic scene and it is only a kiss.
thats the kind of kiss i want very much. where he slowly turns to me and i am scared bc i know this is the test and he takes my face with his hands and leans into me while i bring my mouth to his and we kiss. i want there to be fire and passion in that kiss. i want it to be the ultimate kiss and the one i'll never forget and somehow i know it will be all that i dream about. maybe my dreams will now consist of the eyes of my lover, the house we will dwell in and this kiss of the century. all i can do is close my eyes and dream of my fellow whom i will now call david. the break room today was quiet while i described this to them and then we all let out our collective ..................sighs................. because we all wanted THE KISS.
