Last night the boys informed me that there was no school on Monday (today) and that they had a wonderful idea. Now, I look at these angelic littlle faces and wonder just what they have in mind for me....Hmmmmm...a trip to the store, candy, a ride in said new car, eating at McD's???? Could have been a million things but no.....not any of the above. They wanted to have a sleep over. I looked at them and told them I sleep here every night and of course was corrected and told that I sleep in MY room and they sleep in THEIRS.....thus.....that does not constitute a real sleep over. Ohhhhhh, so that's the way it works!!!
So we got popcorn (the good stuff), soda, DVDs (we all had a pick), and I made a pizza for us. My secret stash for special occasions was broken into and we lit candles (they love love doin that), and turned the lights down and had the best sleepover in the history of sleepovers. Riley has to be next to me all the time and cuddles like no other. We laughed and he would tell me constantly what was going to happen and then I had to act allsurprised when it did, in fact, happen.....'WOW Riley...How did you know that?'....you know stroke his little ego, him bein a guy and all. He just smiled like he was all that (and he is, what can I say?).
I later found out that the sleepover was a sort of surprise for me. I won't bore you with that reason but it was nice and it was extra nice coming from them. Today I needed that little lift and I've been thinking about it all day long. So to the boys who never forget me......i love you guys!!!!!
