TODAY with coffee and muffin in hand i was reading some poetry on thoughts. i think the people that write these words are some of the most talented i have ever had the privledge of reading. the verses are filled with love, compassion, anger, humor and always a lesson. i have laughed, cried, smiled, and got angry with them as their words penetrate my mind and heart. i have said as many others have they need to get them published. so i decided to print out the ones i enjoy which is 99% of them and make my own booklet. this way i can enjoy them whenever i want. i can smile and cry and feel the love at my leisure and not just when i get on thoughts. so to the poets on thoughts i hope u don't mind and if u do just mention it and i won't use ur things. hell, its not like i'm going to out making a fortune on them. these are friends of mine on here that are pouring their hearts out in verse and i want to enjoy them off line.
I hope someday to enjoy some words dedicated to me. someone wrote me once 'someone asked me what i love about my life and i said u'. that i still have and will never let go of. i read it often and think of it even more so. it means so much to me that he would say something so sweet and think of me when it was said to him. u never know how the smallest thing will affect someone. he never knew when he said that to me that it would stay with me so much. i wish i could tell him that he made my day that particular day.
I long for words of love to be spoken to me. i am and always will be a hopeless romantic. i will be until the day i'm put in the ground. my dad was and i take after him. i want the flowers and poetry. i want the moonlight and walking hand in hand. i want the 'happily ever after' ending. is it realistic? don't know! i think so. i want the man that will protect me against the bad elements of this world and keep me safe. yeah, i sound like someone from the ages of shakespeare or something but i love chivalry and i like doors being held for me and chairs being pulled out for me. so sue me! whoa! need a lawyer for that. so don't sue me!
Any way i want my poems to be special and i want special poems so where do i look but here among my many talented friends. it ought to be pretty nice. thank you to the many of u that are so wonderful with ur words that u would make someone want to make them permanent in her life. smile

That is a great idea, I've printed some out lately, but putting them into a verse type book is great.

easytosay: i used to do this with my kids pictures they made me or 'love letters' and it always looked so pretty. i would make a cover sheet and use ribbon to tie it all together. i still have some. thanks for the comment.

prelude, i know MY GUY is out there and someday he'll start writing me poetry and words like i read on here. we all need those types of people in our lives. thanks for the comment.

The abundant talent of poetry here is a good part of why I joined. And a lot of them are so humble when paid a compliment, as if they are not as great as we feel they are. Your book idea gives great honor to their skills. I'm sure they would be privilaged in knowing their work means so much.

spirit, they're poems sometimes are the difference between coming to a screeching stop and moving forward to me. they will never know what they have done for me and maybe someday i can thank them all.
