| i think shes got it!!! (almost)

as some of you know i have been writing the last couple days asking for help in downloading some type of picture on my site. i got a couple of nice people (that i think felt sorry for me) instructing me on what to do. i followed their directions and if any of you notice i have some pictures on my site. yay yay yay! i'm still befuddled because some of the photos i "thought" i had are mere numbers and when i tried to put them on they only came up and x. whats that about? anyway it was a long hard uphill battle and i want to thank those people that helped me. i am starved to learn about this contraption called a computer. it is a puzzle to me and i'd like to figure it out. it has tons and tons of info that i'd love to access and i am at a standstill as to how to do certain things. i don't understand the language and need it to be leveled down like i was a two yr old. i don't know how to get into chat rooms (on the other hand i'm afraid to go into chat rooms for fear someone will stalk me). i worry that big brother is watching over my shoulder so i get very scared that someone will knock on my door and arrest me for looking at things that have stoked my curiosity. i have a morbid curosity and would like to at least see what some things are once just to satisfy myself. my brother gets on his and he is constantly meeting some pretty nice people. how do you do that? is it free? do i have to pay for friendship? people say "just google it". what the hell is googling it? sounds like a pair of bifocals for granny. will i ever learn? will i ever get the hang of this machine? will my grandchildren be teaching me someday? will someone find me here someday with my hands still on the keyboard covered in dust and cobwebs staring at the screen waiting, waiting, and waiting like an episode of the twilight zone? you may laugh all you computer savvy people but there are those of us who are letting this contraption get the better of us.

A lot of questions. Let me just answer the easist one. Googling means to look something up using the search engine located at Google.com
Just put in www.google.com in your browser's navigation bar and press enter. It will take you to google's home page. There you will find a field to fill in what you want to find
Let's say you want to shop for shoes on-line. Just put in "shoes" (and perhaps even "shop"), and Google will list all the places that you can shop for shoes. Click on any of the names, and it will take you to that page.
If you are looking for a person or place that has more than one name, make sure you enclose that name in quotation marks. So, if you go looking for Jim Brown, type in "Jim Brown" (with the quotation marks) in the search field.
Keep slugging away! You can do it! You've gotten this far!
