this morning i thought i was going to have a regular day and got up and did my normal stuff. i got to work and was telling my boss that i had a rough night because i got awake with some anxiety and the chills (well it was cold!). my head felt foggy and i felt out of sorts and i thought it may my blood pressure. i work at an assisted living facility as a cook so i asked a nurse friend to take my blood pressure. it was high real high. she immediately told me to take a break and put my feet up for a while and i did. the head nurse found out and came in and took over. she called 911 and i was all of a sudden scared shitless. the ambulance came and took my pressure again and it was a bit better this time around since i had been sitting for a while. but i was taken to the local er (never again though). i haven't had a man unhook my bra for years nor have i had so many men see my boobs let alone 5 in one day. i laid in the hallway of the er for hours until a cubicle was ready. there was a man there that was in pain and finally told his wife that he wasn't going to lay around there for 3-4 hrs. i should have heeded that gentleman's warning. i was finally taken to my cubicle and was given an ekg. i met my nurse (a man) and my doctor (a man) and was told that i would have blood drawn to see if i actually had a heart attack along the way. i laid for hours and no one came into the room. i heard others and yet no one came by to see if i was dead or alive. finally i started asking for assistance loudly. this went on for about another hour. then i took the thingy off my finger and the machine started to beep. i was told that the machine was being monitored at the nurses station so they could keep track of my stats. i'm thinking someone will come when they hear me beeping or see my numbers aren't right. not on you life did anyone come. so then i let the blood pressure cuff slide down and still no one came. now by this time my machine was flat lining because i wasn't connected but they didn't know that at the desk. all they would have seen is my numbers were nonextistant. not one person came to see what the problem was. by this time i ripped the leads to my monitor off and thought "this is bullshit". i slid the blood pressure cuff back up and let it take my pressure again and it was going up again. no wonder! i tried to get the sides of the bed down and couldn't so i pushed my foot down the sides and clicked what i thought were the sides of the bed and guess what? it was the brakes to my bed. there i am with a runaway bed. everytime i moved so would this dumb bed. finally i slid down to the bottom of the bed (praying i wouldn't flip the thing) and slid off. i flung open the drapes and walked to the nurses station and informed them i was leaving. they said in a little while. i informed them NOW!, went back to my cubicle and about a minute or so later in walked my doctor. (who would have thought?) he told me that i did not have a heart attack and my blood thingys told him that. i just looked at him and thought "omg, hes telling me about my blood test. i NEVER had blood drawn at all! i had to sign an against medical advice slip to get out but it was so worth it. that place is a nut house. after another 45 minutes someone finally came in to take out my iv and another 30 minutes after that i signed myself out. i was taken to my workplace and i picked up my jeep and left for home. on my way home my car started acting funny and i pulled off the road. I WAS OUT OF GAS!!!!!! so people when you get up tomorrow and think you're going to have a regular day, think again because it may never happen. the next time you have a day that is semi-normal get on your knees and thank the lord or who ever you thank because i sure as hell will.

p s. my heart is fine and healthy and i am going to see my regular doctor and do a follow up just as a precaution. i'm not a total fool.
