| 20 THINGS ABOUT ME....as per KatetheShrewd

I've been reading all the posts with '20 Things You Don't Know' and they are very interesting. I thought I give it a try since I enjoy a challenge. So here are 20 THINGS YOU DON'T KNOW.....
1. I love Disney so much that I currently have 43 Tee shirts, 6 prs. of jammies, 3 hoodies, and 2 jackets from the Disney store.
2. My favorite actresses of all time are Suzanne Hayworth and Doris Day....I have almost all of their movies. My favorite of Ms Hayworth's is Back Street and my favorite of Ms Day's is Lover Come Back.
3. I have over 145 sweaters bc I'm a sweater freak.
4. I have to make a list for everything I do. At the beginning of each work day I make my list of all I have to do and then have an 'ongoing' list of things I need to do after my 'main' list is done. I'm annal about getting 'everything' done.
5. When I'm in bed at nite and can't sleep I write posts in longhand to post later. I usually always write things beforehand and then correct and later post them, unless its a rant. Told you I'm annal....
6. I was named after the first Americanized Saint...although she wasn't a saint at the time of my birth. Elizabeth Ann Seton lived here most of her life. My mother wanted a daughter named for her. My dad chose the name Karen bc he didn't want me to be called 'Lizzie'.
7. I've had weight issues a lot in my life and in the last year and a three quarters have lost 174 lbs. I'm feeling better now than I have in years and looking healthier.
8. I've seen every Flintstone cartoon there is. I love Fred....I once sat and taped for two days (cutting out all commercials) a Flintstone marathon on the cartoon network nonstop without sleep and still have the tapes.
9. I love White Russians.
10. I've been engaged 5 times in my life.
11. I volunteered 2 yrs in Americorps (a peace corps). For that work I recieved an award from the governor of Maryland personally as an outstanding volunteer for the state of Md.
12. My favorite candy is black licorice. Gosh, I love that stuff.
13. I once rode the upside down roller coaster at Hershey Park 10 times straight....and didn't get sick.
14. I bowled a 297 once on my bowling league and was the only woman to do so.
15. I prefer tall men to short ones....dark hair to light....dark eyes to blue.
16. I once wanted to see what it was like to play Bingo 7 nights straight and won $3750....in that week. I think it was a positive experience. No one knows that except my daughter who wanted to see what it was like too. I had to pay her off....to keep her mouth shut.
17. I was once a reporter for a neighboring city's paper. Got a press pass and everything.....it was cool.
18. I doubt often there is an existence of God.
19. I once punched Satan in the mouth while he was sleeping and then pretended I didn't know what happened. That one was fun....:)
20. I'm severely claustrophobic....
So there you are....

Wow you are a collector. I write posts beforehand too. I usually keep about 3 or 4 on file so I can post them later. Great list and very interesting!!! good job.

#7: GOOD FOR YOU! That is awsome!!
#13: That rollercoaster was the first one I ever went on... I was 6, and my dad tricked me. He told me it was a different ride, but I LOVED it!
#14: WOW!! Wanna come join my team! I am very proud of my 95 handicap! haha
#19: HAHA! That is GREAT!!
Love the list K! Its been fun getting to know people a little better! :)

I was worried my list would be boring, but hell, its me....I don't care if its boring. I'm very proud of some of those things....that bingo money alone was pretty good!!!

I sort of liked #19 too...That felt great! He thought he hit hisself...I nearly choked trying not to laugh...I slept well that nite....:)

Enjoyed reading your list ... not boring at all. I also write my posts beforehand and edit them many times before posting. I always write the first draft of my poems in long hand. There's just something about curling up and jotting my thoughts down on paper that I like. Journalism is something I find interesting. I would love to cover stories and write for a newspaper. Peace.

Love your list....I myself collect shoes, and have seemed to pass this nasty habit down to my children!!!!! The one good thing is that my daughter and I are the same size, so I actually have twice as many shoes!!!!! To answer your question, you are far from a bad person :)

Loved your list!!!
Unlike you, I just pick up the computer and just write whatever comes
into my head. Sometimes that's good and sometimes--not so good.
I guess in a lot of ways I'm just an in the moment person. "Spontaneity"
is my middle name.
I also thought #11 was great. Good for you. Shows what a compasionate
and caring person you are.

I understand that too...My daughter's all had/have different tastes, but always found their way to my closets. In fact when they moved out they all had pieces of me with them....as in my clothes...:)

I will just type like you when I'm rambling or ranting, but on the norm, I will write it out and then post it later....#11 was probably the most rewarding of my life (work wise). I felt like I really gave back to people for those 2yrs. #12...yummmmmmmmmmy!!! :)
PS...I need to explain #7...I lost 125lbs at one time...and the rest has been lost yo yo dieting...omg..i said the 'd' word...I have kept track of my weight losses and it's been a trip...but a good one.

I have no idea what happened that nite....I had three games equal to and better than the more seasoned bowlers....never happened again but for one nite I gave em hell and have the arm patches to prove it. I got the award at the award's dinner as the "Most Improved Bowler" of that year. Probably now, I coudn't reach 100 but I don't care. I had my 15 min. of fame....Thanks Kate..this was a wonderful idea.

I'm also a fan of Doris Day, Calamity Jane [also has the added inducement of a young Howard Keel], Pillow Talk and With Six You Get Eggroll being three of my favourites. An absolutely awesome list, far, far from boring; one of the most interesting to read. :o)
