| BUSY WEEK AHEAD AND I LOVE IT

Today I am having lunch again with my friend....She and I seem to have a great deal in common and its nice to talk and just relax. It's funny bc I will see her in person but on here its mums the word....strange how we make these boundaries for ourselves.
This week will be so incredibly busy for me. The facility I work in is having their annual golf tournament to benefit Alzhiemers. It was started several years ago by a residents son and has just gotten huge. It has raised so much money for the cause and its this Thursday. I was asked to do all the food for this event....a tremendous honor for me.....and a giant undertaking also. They serve lunch and then serve dinner also. Although it will be a huge feather in my cap (culinary wise) its also going to be so much work on top of my regular work. I'm not sure just how I'm going to get it done but I'm going to give it the old 'college try'. Tomorrow I have a meeting with the committee and I'll see just what I've been asked to do.
There will certainly be a great deal of overtime for me...so thats a perk.
I'm just pleased that they think enough of my skills to ask me. I guess I do have a talent for something other than screwing up....LOL
I will do a lot of bitching this week just to vent frustrations and the upcoming exhaustion I will be feeling......I know I will. So heads up! My poor prep cook.....what a week she will be having....Yikes...didn't even think of that....I will try and be nice. But when its my name on that food......I can be a bitch. I just take such pride in my finished product. If it doesnt' look as good as it tastes then its not good. You eat with your eyes too! I learned that from my teachers over the years and have found its so true. Thats why tv commercials have us running out to buy the stuff advertised. Heaven help us if we get 'smellovision'......the country will go nuts.....LOL
For the rest of the day its going to be relaxing in the pool.....ahhhhhh and nothing. With the way my week is going to be I need to take it easy today. So Tabasco Sauce better have his 'good dog' on today. :)

Congratulations, sounds like you've been recognised for your natural talent!! Well Done, I'm sure you'll do a brilliant job of it.
Ahhh lucky you having days off, enjoy that pool... don't turn into a prune! :)

e2s...thanks for the congrats....i feel so honored that my skills as a cook/chef have been noticed by someone that may eventually make a difference in my life (career wise)....
I promise....no pruning.....well maybe a little..LOL
