Final entry from the News Enterprise article blog. Spinal surgery between postings accounts for the time lag between my post and Melissa's.
The other entries of this issue can be found in my earlier blog here :
Two words edited for clarity.

" My last post was meant to be the cap on this topic. I see I was called on again by name.
Melissa I am beginning to think you take my opinions and experiences as if they were meant to bother you personally.
My goal(in posting) is not to bother you but to inform others to see the whole story both sides and weigh it and measure it. The tide is turning nationwide on this issue. It's not birth control it is an after measure and it's killing life.
You said... "'Isn't it interesting that you (meaning me Mary Jo) say that 60-70% of people hadn't even heard the word abortion until Roe v. Wade? In fact, millions of abortions took place before Roe v. Wade was even passed. Again, underscoring my(meaning Melissa) earlier point that illegal abortion is not equivalent to no abortion, only unsafe abortion.
Before Roe v. wade and Doe v.Bolton, abortion was not a household word there- for, the statement of 60-70% stands easily, it's just a simple fact. All abortion is unsafe for the babies/fetuses. I don't want women getting illegal abortions either, but that is not my choice or yours (for them)or any ones at any time. People who choose to go out side the law for any thing face consequences always did always will. That is not the point either. It was awful but not major enough to merit legal unborn baby killing. I feel for people who die doing things illegally really I do life is precious lots of people like to cheapen or waste it, but I also consider the consequences of that persons choice. But that is not the point. Me? I'd rather possibly die in child birth than from abortion any day, year, or century (I have experience) but that's just me but that not the point either.....
Your 'Millions" (?) of Abortions before Roe v. Wade, must cover centuries and other counties too but that is not the point.
You not liking protesters or silent wordless praying people with or with out the red LIFE tape, is still not the point.
1. I was adopted (good option)
2. I was a Welfare, Legal-Aid/Foster care recipient baby.The system has successes'
3. My biological mother chose to give us up (multiple birth)though I never knew her I still thank her.
4. Neither do I approve of people who "terrorize" Abortive mothers.
5. Those people have a legal right to be there and they have the legal right of free speech. if you don't like it make a protest. But not to me I cannot affect it for you.
6. I am an adoptive parent.(I am often approached by others who desire to adopt, they are out there right now)
7. Planned Parenthood has a poor record in any year for adoption referrals. In 2005 it was ZERO.*.PPH garnered $905.+million in monies last year the profits were over 55 million. If they do adoption referrals they lose money pure and simple can you not see that??? I hate that they lie and lie to these women. (tell us all that it's not an industry, that preys upon women and girls and thats just them, private clinics garner their share too.)That is part of the point.
8. I don't terrorize abortive mothers I love them and tell them so often but not at the clinic sites. I am silent there.
9.It does not matter if you or I or 65 billion others speculate on the quality of any child's life.
No one took your fetus parts apart did they? You have your life and all my nine biological siblings have theirs. They would not exchange their lives for death by abortion. Neither would my true family, my adoptive siblings. I know so many who were.(gratefully adopted) I did address the issue in other posts and more than you know the people who protest and pray do indeed care/foster/adopt others children/babies...Many! I know a family (Know them)...19 children. Of the 17 adopted, several came from and through referral of crisis pregnancy centers. Two Foster Care referrals, and the others were 'other'. THAT is part of the point too.
Do you check these kinds of things in your research at all? If you did you might realize the clinics do not conform to the laws, statues, etc. about full disclosure of options. If they did it would show up in the numbers of babies available for adoption, and the paper work that the clinics have to process on all the mothers/clients would reflect that. Gads. How do you think we got to a whopping 5O Million abortions in America anyway? If all the clinics actually did do that however, they lose clients. That costs them money.
10. No one has the right to abort based on a child's possible future life. No one can speculate on the unborn child's possible life style as a justification for abortion.
11.They are human beings, 23 shares of mom, 23 shares from dad, and there it is...a unique human being. That is a major point.
Same as you, only you Melissa, get to breath air into your lungs every day of your LIFE. No one ripped you out at 4,6,10, or 12 weeks. You were allowed to live inside and outside the uterus. As did I. How dare any, judge the POTENTIAL circumstances of a child? Melissa your posts do judge the unwanted and unexpected unborn. Since when does "unwanted" "unplanned" or "unexpected" (like me and all those others)justify being scraped to bits, burned to death, stabbed and jabbed, poisoned, killed and dragged out of the womb? It does not, it can not. It's wrong 5000 years ago and it's wrong now. Legal? Yes. (but not for much longer.)
Just in case that is not plain enough let me borrow a phrase from a guy in Oregon named Ken. " As a former fetus I protest, as former fetuses I hope you too (pro-abortion people) enjoy all your Life."
(Kitsap County News)
I will not post again (here)on this subject. "

" This argument will never end, will it? I have a few things to say in response to Mary Jo even though I thought I was done with this argument!
Isn't it interesting that you say that 60-70% of people hadn't even heard the word abortion until Roe v. Wade? In fact, millions of abortions took place before Roe v. Wade was even passed. Again, underscoring my earlier point that illegal abortion is not equivalent to no abortion, only unsafe abortion.
I think it's really important to consider not just the life of the child but the QUALITY of life that the child will have. What happens to unwanted babies? Unfortunately, they are often put into the horrible American foster care system and (what do you know?) not frequently adopted by those who protest outside abortion clinics. If these children are lucky, then they will find homes with families who love them. But, what will happen to the rest of them? This question is rarely addressed. Rather than standing outside abortion clinics terrorizing women who have made a decision that has already been difficult enough, why don't these protesters mentor foster children? That, in my opinion, is a better use of time than passing judgment on someone you don't know a thing about. I will never understand why people can't mind their own business, live their own life and leave everyone else alone! "
