 the second chapter!
the second chapter!

I carried my bags up to my room, it only took two trips and I started to unpacked my things. My room hadn’t changed much since I was a baby. See my parents had met in Las Vegas, and you know what they say about it “what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas”. Well my parents had met in a bar and the next morning they both woke up in the honeymoon suite together and found out from the manager that the night before they had gotten married the night before. So they didn’t bother to get divorced, but instead tried to work it out. They had moved out her to Alaska and a few months after they officially moved here, they found out they were pregnant with me. But soon after I was born, my dad walked out on my mom, with me in his arms. Twelve years later, my mom got a hold of my dad and since then I’ve been up here every summer, until now. I was up here and I was here to stay. My room was average size, painted blue and green, I had a full size bed in one corner, with a bookshelf and a desk with a computer on it in another, on my night stand, sat a cordless phone and an alarm clock. I also had a dresser that sat right underneath my only window in the whole room and I also had a tiny walk-in closet. When I finished unpacking, and looked around my room, it still felt empty. But then I realized that I only felt that way, because I had to leave so much of my stuff behind back in New York, but I figured I could always fill it up eventually, as I stayed here. I knew the first thing I was going to buy was a new stereo, because I couldn’t take my other one with me on the plane, and I was afraid that something would happen to it if my dad tried to ship it to me, plus I had all these cd’s but no way to listen to them.
So with not much more to do, I turned on my computer. I logged onto my email, and I found that I had two new emails. The first one was from my dad, asking how my flight was, and saying to call my flight was, and saying to call right away if I needed anything, and to call when I got in and let him know I was safe. So I sent a return email, telling him everything was fine and that so far everything had run smoothly. The second letter was from my one and only true best friend, Ashlee. Her email seemed to go on forever, but most of it said basically how much she missed me. Most of the time while I still lived down in Syracuse; I often wondered how we became friends in the first place. She was so pretty and smart, she could have easily become popular, but for some reason she chose to hang out with me. She always got invited to parties. As for me, I never did, and when it came to boy experience it was nonexistent. No guy back home ever liked me, and I had never had a “boyfriend”. I mean I didn’t think I was missing out on that much. So I wrote back telling her I missed her too and went downstairs to see what Alice was planning to do for dinner.
It turns out, that Alice really doesn’t know how to cook much. I honestly don’t know how she’s survived this long. So in the end I ended up making dinner, hamburger helper none the less. Turns out that Alice didn’t go shopping, so I made a shopping list, grabbed a purse I barely used, along with my keys to my new Jeep and headed out the door......
more to come, so stand by to read the rest....!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
